An elemental thing in my life

Almost every human has a picture of their beloved people at their wallets or currently, at their smartphones, with no doubt the photography is an essential part of our lives. I remember that my grandpa lent me its camera to take a picture, my first picture, I was around five years old.

The photography transformed into my hobby when I began to course an afterschool workshop, that happened during 2006 to 2007. I got my first camera during that first year, 2006. My grandpa, Benito, realized that I really liked to take photos, and I had a lot of interest into the workshop, so he decided to give me his camera, his Canon AV-1 of 1978.

Since that time photography has been a fundamental part of my life. Now, I’m a photographer, I’ve worked as a portrait photographer and also as a biker photographer. But, the most important photographic work I’ve had is to be assistant teacher at the university.

I’ve always preferred the film photography; I can’t find myself with a digital camera. The touch of metal cameras or the simplicity of the old machines won’t never be equaled by the modern ones. My favorite camera ever is the Canon T90, to me is the best in world, my most special camera is, of course, the Canon AV-1, and the most mystic is my Mamiya RB67 Pro SD.

The sound of a camera shutter is the beginning of a magical process that almost ends with the development of films, the fact of seeing a roll outside of the drum is pure magic, pure chemistry, but it’s magical.

I love photography, I love to photograph the world, my world through the lens of a camera.
